Regions
One of the powerful features of CookieHub is the ability to customize the user interface and options based on the user's location. This feature, called "Regions", allows you to create different behaviors and consent methods for specific geographic regions.
Regions can be defined as a country, US state, or a group of countries based on continent or cookie/privacy requirements. You can configure the behavior and consent method for each region directly in the CookieHub dashboard.
In addition to specific countries and states, you can use three pre-defined groups: Europe, Cookie laws, and Cookie laws (extended).
The Europe group includes all the European Union (EU) member states and members of the European Economic Area (EEA). The country codes included in this group are AT, BE, BG, HR, CY, CZ, DK, EE, FI, FR, DE, GR, EL, HU, IE, IT, LT, LU, LV, MT, NL, PL, PT, RO, SI, SK, SE, ES, IS, LI, and NO.
The Cookie laws group includes countries where cookies require explicit consent. The country codes included in this group are AT, BE, BG, HR, CY, CZ, DK, EE, FI, FR, DE, GR, EL, HU, IE, IT, LT, LU, LV, MT, NL, PL, PT, RO, SI, SK, SE, ES, IS, LI, NO, GB, TR, CH, FO, GL, and BR.
The Cookie laws (extended) group includes some countries and regions where it may be unclear if explicit consent is required by law. This group includes the country codes AR, CA, MX, and US-CA in addition to those in the standard Cookie laws group.
By leveraging the Regions feature, you can ensure that your website is compliant with different data privacy regulations in specific geographic areas, providing a better user experience for your audience.
